Animation Explainer Video for Jamex Express

Background

Jamex Express, a US/Kenyan-based export company, approached me to create an animation explainer video. The goal was to raise awareness about their services, targeting both Kenyans in the diaspora and Kenya who wish to import goods from the USA via air or sea freight.

Project Objectives

Creative Process

1. Script Development

   • Collaborated with Jamex Express to understand their key selling points: affordable pricing, reliable shipping, and customer support.

   • Developed a concise, engaging script tailored to their audience.

2. Voiceover Recording

   • Worked with a well-known Kenyan personality, Jalang'o, whose familiarity and trusted voice resonated with the target audience.

   • Directed the voiceover session to ensure the tone and delivery aligned with the script’s goals.

3. Animation Production

   • Visual Storytelling: Created animations illustrating the shipping process, including packaging, air/sea freight, customs, and delivery in Kenya.

   • Brand Identity: Used Jamex’s branding colors, logo, and icons to maintain consistency.

   • Dynamic Text and Icons: Incorporated text overlays and animated icons for key points, such as timelines, cost-saving benefits, and support services.
